This is the Finnieston Crane in the foreground, with (of course) the Squinty Bridge lit up pink in the background. For those of you new(ish) to my blog, the Squinty Bridge isn’t its real name – officially it is called the Clyde Arc, but ever since it opened (a couple of years ago) everybody calls it the Squinty Bridge. Because it’s squinty, obviously

That’s a HUGE crane…I looked it up, so it’s been there since the 30’s. I love the imposing dark crane with the whimsical pink Squinty bridge. Great shot.

I like the “softness” of the image, despite the fact that it is a ruddy great steel crane.

Great shot Jackie. I took one similar to this on Saturday when I was at the SECC, but not as imposing as this.

Great photo! Isn’t it simply amazing how “soft” the bridge looks in its pink lights, as opposed to the stark black crane….when both are composed of cold steel?

The sky colour is amazing! It’s not dark blue, it’s not grey, it’s… fantastic!

Is the Squinty Bridge really pink or is just the reflection of the lights? Great shot. Ciao. Antonella

Lunarossa, the bridge is silver steel (or whatever it is it’s made out of), but is lit up when it starts getting dark. When the river is still the reflection is fantastic, though I’ve never managed to get a shot of it yet!
