Kibble Palace (1)

Posted by Jackie on December 5, 2007

Kibble Palace is one of the two glasshouses which form part of Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens. It is an amazing Victorian glasshouse which was recently extensively restored and reopened to the public a year ago. Over the next few days I’ll show you some shots from inside – it really is a photographer’s dream! This is a shot with the former BBC studios in the background – the BBC had been in this building in Queen Margaret Drive for years but a few months ago moved to a brand new purpose built complex so these studios, as far as I am aware, are now lying empty.

  1. Lovely. It reminds me of the glasshouse at the Golden Gate Park botanic garden, in San Francisco.
