A photo a day from Scotland’s biggest city.

View from Queen’s Park

Posted by Jackie on December 26, 2007

I had really good intentions of going for a walk in Queen’s Park after Christmas dinner to walk off the vast amounts of pudding. Unfortunately Christmas dinner ended up starting much later than originally planned, and once we’d finished listening to the Radio 4 play and felt the food had gone down enough for a walk, it was dark! So here’s the next best thing – a view over the city from one of the higher points of the park, from a picture I took last winter.

To the left of the church the Sydney Opera House type building is the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), and the arch to the right of the church is the top of the Squinty Bridge (featured a few days ago). Just above that and to the right is the University.

  1. That’s a nicely framed shot.

  2. I also meant to say Merry Christmas!
