Kibble Palace view

Posted by Jackie on April 24, 2008

I’ve shown the Kibble Palace, in the Botanic Gardens, before. Here’s another view, as you approach it from the Great Western road entrance to the Botanic Gardens .

Jackie, this botanical garden looks HUGE! As I looked at it, it brought to my mind the memories of when I live in Buffalo…I used to visit the gardens there. Hmm….may be time for a road trip!

Your photo is so lovely with the bright grass, blue skies, the building, and the benches begging passers-by to come and sit!

Always a nice place to visit, I especially like the carnivorous plant section.

I love the architecture of this greenhouse. it is really very beautiful.

  5. Is this a new one, or refurnished? Either way, I like the look of it.

Kris, it is an old glasshouse which was refurbished a couple of years ago so it looks shiny and new. I love the place – and it’s a dream for photographers!

Wow it certainly looks spruced up – here is what it looked like in 1966
