This is really quite beautiful. Looks like a stone fence of some kind. I’ve been on self-imposed sabbatical, but have returned for theme day. Come visit!

    Andy Goldsworthy sneezed?

  3. Baruch said

    Interesting. A cobweb covered wall?

  4. great lines – they don’t necessarily have to be perfect

  5. How about a slate wall – Wales & Scotland have quite a few that look not unlike these.

  6. “Louis” didn’t register for theme day – but he’s having a splendid time following those of you who did! Great example here!

Well, here in the Bristolwood, we live on hills that are formmed from a LOT of slate. Down in Woodville, (many of my lake photos are taken there…and the Eagle resides there!) there are huge walls of slate that are exposed, as the hill was cut out to form the road. They actually look very much like that! On the hills, the (exposed) slate is angled such as your photo, too!

    Fantastic idea!

with those tendrils and the cobwebs can it be anything other than a dry stane wall?

Or is it Tracey Emmim’s latest artistic creation entitled Spidering Pollockshields?

  10. Another creative idea. I like it.

Looks like a rocky bank with cobwebs, beautiful!

I think its a slate wall, but for an amusing answer how about mouldy flakey pastry!

It’s obviously the latest entry for the Turner prize. I like Gerald’s Tacey Emin quip. I presumed it was a wall of some kind but the ciruclar feel says a well. Interesting interpretation of the theme today

Due to technical difficulties originating at WordPress whereby, from time to time, I don’t see Jackie’s posts until 24 hours after she posts them I’ve just seen this for the first time.

I think it’s a stone vase, flared at the bottom narrow in the middle and flared out at the top. I think the angle of the lines is a clever ruse.

    How’d I do?

  15. Jackie said

Wayne you did just great, well done 😉

I don’t know what it is but it’s a marvelous study!
