A photo a day from Scotland’s biggest city.

Blue sky

Posted by Jackie on October 30, 2008

This is looking up at a building on the corner of Argyle Street and Buchanan Street. I just loved the colour of that sky! The building is just shops and offices, nothing fantastic or particularly noteworthy, but is rather grand. I do like a lot of Glasgow’s architecture.

Great corner building! I like the architecture and the perspective too.

Great shot — and yes, beautiful sky [and building].

Very nice! I love the blue, too! Skies like this just make people feel good.

I love the detailing on the building…it is really nice. The school “down the hill” (where many of our dollars are sent in the form of taxes!!!) had its “top” (the “cap” like you’ve shown)removed and rebuilt. Wonder how much that little renovation cost!

it is a grand building, so much detail – attention to their craft. Now everything seems like Starbucks built it out of old cups

    the sky is perfect!

That is some fantastic detail and bright blue too! They don’t make buildings like this anymore šŸ˜¦

Such blue skies in Glasgow indeed! We have to make the long journey west in the next couple of weekends to go to the violin shop – I’ll be expecting cloudless skies.

Maria, I tend to keep the camera well in the dry when we have adverse weather, so you only get to see the good days! But seeing as you mention it, I will see if I can capture some horizontal rain, just for you šŸ™‚

Linda, where’s the violin shop? I love music shops, but haven’t ever gone beyond Biggars (which has just closed down).
