Kibble Palace in the snow

Posted by Jackie on February 14, 2009

Staying in the Botanic Gardens, here’s the Kibble Palace glasshouse looking lovely in the snow.

Happy Valentine’s Day! It turns out we couldn’t go away for the weekend after all, as our car’s not so well (nothing too serious, but we need to get the problem sorted out) and it was too late to get a train ticket that didn’t cost a fortune. We shall just have to have a romantic time in Glasgow instead 🙂

A walk in the snowy botanical gardens, followed by a warm fire and some wine, seems like a good way to observe Valentine’s Day in town.

  2. And a very nice albeit cold walk it is!

Jackie, as much as I enjoy sitting and watching people pass by, I don’t think I would want to sit and watch on those benches….not that day, anyway!

Sorry about your car…they can be more frustrating than anything, but are a necessary evil! Hey, with all the wonderful places you have shown us in Glasgow, you can surely enjoy a roamntic evening, eh?

That is such a pretty glass house, even in the snow!

Happy Valentine! I’m sure you can spend a romantic evening together no matter where you are! 😉

  5. Well this is certainly a “romantic scene”. Have a great day.
