A photo a day from Scotland’s biggest city.

BBC reflections

Posted by Jackie on April 16, 2009

This is the new(ish) BBC Scotland building, on Pacific Quay. In the distance you can see the Finnieston Crane and the Squinty Bridge, and that’s the BBC’s next door neighbour the Science Centre, IMAX cinema and Glasgow Tower reflected in its windows.

Pretty good for a modern building. Is BBC Scotland based in Glasgow?

Cool shot, Jackie! I like that you can see the reflections and the lighting fixtures inside.

Nice. Looks like some interesting art near the building, too.

  8. Took me a while to work out where this was taken from. Then I could concentrate of the excellent photo itself.

  9. Just went up there for the first time ever last weekend.
Not been to the science centre yet… will need to check it out.

Andrew, BBC Scotland has a number of studios – this is the main one in Glasgow, but they also have a significant presence in Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

  12. nice capture and a nice building. i like the glass. I am glad you enjoyed the Chihuly glass art on my site. I have now moved to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West series. He is one of the world’s great architects.
