A photo a day from Scotland’s biggest city.

The lower (and larger) pond in Queen’s Park often has hordes of seagulls congregating round it, presumably to try and nick the bread being thrown to the swans and ducks. This lot were making such a racket, they reminded me of the seagulls in “Finding Nemo” (hence the title!).

Gulls are such a pain in the behind when one is trying to feed (or photograph!) other birds, but they certainly make themselves known! A National Geographic special once called them “rats of the air”. That really turned me off to these annoying birds! But, they really are pretty to capture in flight.

    A very pretty photo!

  2. A seagull called Kehaar often visits my warren.

  3. I wish you could have shown us some close images of seagulls.

gulls are aggressive, that’s for sure. A gull once took a hotdog, bun and all, out of my son’s hand. I told him not to eat on the boardwalk but they never listen 😉
He recovered quickly as a group of girls came running over to see if he was OK lol
