Just to the right of yesterday’s photo stands this stone. Engraved on the stone is the following:

Near this spot in 1765 James Watt conceived the idea of the separate condenser for the steam engine patented 1769

It seems like a very humble commemoration of an idea which arguably kick-started the entire Industrial Revolution.

In a separate historical event, today is my birthday! I would like to point out that I’m not as old as James Watt’s steam engine condenser 😀
