Chambers and Square

Posted by Jackie on January 16, 2010

And here’s the City Chambers and George Square in the snow (are you bored of snow yet?!). Unlike much of the city centre George Square wasn’t all slushy – it was cordoned off as workmen were taking down the Christmas decorations.

  1. Those classic old buildings are so much more attractive than the ‘stacked ice cube tray’ school of architecture we see so often in modern buildings.

  2. That’s a magnificent City Hall! Our city hall is quite . . . . plain.

You’re welcome to come here when you’re tired of the snow. 🙂

What a beautiful and stately building! Funny, when I was in my hometown last week, I took a picture of the City Hall, then decided NOT to show it as it was so UGLY! hehehe I still remember the one that was torn down before it and it was a small but very beautiful building.
