Cafe Cossachok

Downstairs from the Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre at 103 Trongate is a lovely Russian cafe called Cafe Cossachok. I love the decoration of these pillars.

July 2009 Theme Day – “Empty”

Posted by Jackie on July 1, 2009

Today is the first of the month, so that’s another theme day for the City Daily Photo Blogs. This month the theme is “Empty”, and so I am presenting a view from the university where I work – the undergraduate students have been gone a couple of weeks, apart from the finalists who are attending their graduation ceremonies, and the campus is lovely and empty, I always really like it this time of year. This place is the food hall of “The Hub”, the relatively newly-built building on campus (it opened in January I think). During term time, especially lunchtimes, it is absolutely heaving, but now as you can see it lies largely empty.

[Maybe that’s why the food and drink there is so expensive, to make up for the fact that for several months there’s hardly anyone here to buy it. But that’s a whinge for another day, I expect 🙂 ]
