This is the dome above the balconies in the Gallery of Modern Art, and it is my favourite bit of the whole gallery. I think this is the best picture I’ve ever taken of it.

Here’s a section of another painting I really liked in the Gallery of Modern Art.

A couple of weekends ago I went to the Gallery of Modern Art with some friends. I took a couple of pictures of some of the big pictures in the ground floor gallery, which I’ll show today and tomorrow. Unfortunately I was very stupid and forgot to make a note of the artists. So I have no idea who they are by, but I like them anyway so here you are 🙂 (If any of the locals do know and want to let me know who the artist is in the comments that would be great!)

Evening lights

I took this picture less than a month ago, at around 5.30 in the evening. Now I’d have to wait quite a while longer for it to be dark enough to look like this – I think spring might be on the way, and about time too! (and this year please can it last longer than 5 minutes? Thanks so much!).

As you all know by now, this is the fabulous ceiling of lights that surrounds 3 sides of the Gallery of Modern Art.
